Near the very end of last year we held our December Athletics Holiday Clinic. A big thanks has to go out to all the parents for playing taxi drivers, the young athletes for their hard work and enthusiasm, the coaches for helping us put together a clinic catering for the largest numbers we've ever had. And lastly but by no means least, thanks to our sponsors KwikSpar Green Point for helping us make this event possible and for putting together the most awesome goodie bag - the kids have been raving about them non-stop.

The young athletes all did really well to endure the 36-degree temperatures. We worked on our sprint start technique, stride technique sprints, endurance work and some fitness training sets. The kids' were all rewarded with a really cool goodie bag, thanks to Green Point Kwikspar.
Day 3 of our Athletics Holiday Clinic saw us mix up the sprint and middle distance training. We finished with a 900m race for the 7-10 yr olds and a 1200m race for the 11-16 yr olds. The group is improving by the day, and the youngsters are thriving on the fun element.
All in all, it was a fantastic clinic with our biggest turnout yet! And after this one I'm really looking forward to the next in one in April.
