Welcome to Off The Mark's RISING STAR competition.

 

We are very excited to be affording this opportunity to 1 lucky young athlete. The winning entrant will receive all the necessary professional coaching to take their performances to the next level.

As amazing an opportunity as this is, we do need to lay down a few criteria which need to be met, just to ensure that your submission is valid.

 

The young athlete that you are submitting must be/have:

• From an unprivileged background

• Between the ages of 10-16

• Competing in distances between 800m-6km

• Qualified to compete in Cape Metro Schools Athletics / Cross Country Championships in the last 2 years

• Able to attend a coached session on a weekly basis, on Tuesdays from 17:30-18:30 in Rondebosch

• Enthusiastic, hard-working and easy to work with

If an athlete is selected as one of our leading candidates, please note that  the parents or guardian will be asked to submit bank statements prior to us making the final call on selection. This is just to ensure that the criteria for us sponsoring an underprivileged athlete is met. Young athlete must also live in the greater Cape Town area. if the applicant is selected to go into the final phase of the selection process that they will be notified by 01-12-2018. If you have not heard anything by this date it means that we have chosen another athlete that we believe is more suited to our rising star campaign.
